Miyoshi is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.
The Miyoshi clan was a great family that presided over Settsu Province, comprising present-day northern Osaka and southeastern Hyogo prefecture. Its most celebrated leader is Miyoshi Nagayoshi.
Nagayoshi was a senior retainer of the Hosokawa clan, key players in the Ashikaga shogunate, and participated in a power struggle that unfolded in the capital. His forces exceeded those of even his masters, leading to his eventual defeat of the Ashikaga family and seizure of Kyoto. However, the Miyoshi clan's golden age was not to last long. The clan fractured after Nagayoshi's death and continued to fall in prominence, even as Oda Nobunaga rose to power.
The Miyoshi crest is a combination of two crests. The first bears a triple diamond design and belongs to the Ogasawara clan, said to be the ancestors of the Miyoshi clan. The second has a motif based on a nail-pulling tool, popularly used by clans in the Shikoku region due to its similarity in sound to the phrase, "To defeat nine castles."
