Hosokawa is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.

The Hosokawa clan is descended from the family of the military governor of Izumi Province (modern-day southwestern Osaka prefecture). It ruled over Tango Province, Kokura in Buzen Province, and Kumamoto in Higo Province (modern-day northern Kyoto, eastern Fukuoka, and Kumamoto prefectures respectively). One of its most celebrated leaders is Hosokawa Tadaoki.

Tadaoki served Oda Nobunaga alongside his father, Fu jitaka, who was a former retainer of the Ashikaga clan. Soon after Tadaoki came of age, Nobunaga arranged for him to be married to Akechi Mitsuhide's daughter, Tamako (widely known as Garasha or Gracia). He declined his father-in-law Mitsuhide's request to participate in the battles surrounding the Honnoji Incident, and later came to serve the Toyotomi clan. His meritorious performance thereafter led to his inclusion in the venerated group of great leaders known as Hideyoshi's Seven Generals.

The Hosokawa crest depicts the Navagraha, a representation of the nine celestial bodies of the universe. It is said that from an early age Tadaoki longed after Nobunaga's battle
