Tachibana is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.

The Tachibana clan once served the Otomo clan of Bungo Province (now known as Oita prefecture), but eventually came to rule Yanagawa in Chikugo Province (southern Fukuoka prefecture). Tachibana Muneshige and his wife, Ginchiyo, are among its most famous members.

Muneshige was originally born into the Takahashi clan, but adopted the Tachibana name upon marrying Ginchiyo. Together, the couple demonstrated great prowess in battles against the likes of the Shimazu clan, following in the footsteps of Ginchiyo's father-Dosetsu, the "Lightning God." After Toyotomi Hideyoshi's subjugation of Kyushu, the Tachibana clan was awarded the territory of Chikugo.

The Tachibana crest was one frequently used by retainers of the Otomo clan. Its design is based on a pair of "gyoyo", a type of riding ornament from continental Asia that was popular amongst the Japanese warrior clans,
