Darting Blade is a Special Effect in Nioh2. Darting Blade gives you bonuses when you do a switch weapons while doing a Flash Attack. Special Effects can be acquired from Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Soul Cores and Guardian Spirits and can be either fixed or selected from a random pool.
Darting Blade Effects
- Using Flash Attack when you have two different weapon types equipped increases the damage dealt by Flash Attack and grants you the Darting Blade status enhancement. This status reduces your Ki consumption when performing melee attacks and speeds up your Ki recovery. This Special effect is not triggered if you are already under the effects of Darting Blade.
- At A rank (Okuninushi's Grace) Darting blade adds 50% more melee damage to your Flash Attack when this effect is activated. Then it reduces Melee Ki consumption by 20.0%, while also increasing your Ki recovery speed.
- The Melee Damage increase to Flash Attack is always active before the Darting Blade is activated, and goes away once Darting Blade is activated by hitting an enemy with a Flash Attack. This means if you use the Sanctity Talisman, you will permanently gain more melee damage to Flash Attack, since you cannot activate Darting Blade.
