Elemental Weapon Damage is a Special Effect in Nioh2. Elemental Weapon Damage increases the damage dealt when using a weapon imbued with an element. Special Effects can be acquired from Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Soul Cores and Guardian Spirits and can be either fixed or selected from a random pool.
Elemental Weapon Damage Effects
- Increases melee damage to weapons that are imbued with a status effect. Specifically, any effect where the time remaining is shown on the stance wheel counts; weapons with an imbued element as a special effect or the elemental arcana custom active skills do not receive this bonus, but using Fiery Reinforcement, any elemental talisman including purification or the poison/paralysis broths will.
- This does not effect the elemental damage done to an enemy from an elemental weapon, only the physical damage portion. To increase the elemental damage, use either Elemental Damage special effect or the similar effect for each specific elemental damage type.

in my opinion, it should effect imbue and arcana b/c Corrupt and Purify users just need to add more Ki Damage.
