Reduced Defense (Ranged Weapon Hit) is a Special Effect in Nioh2. Reduced Defense (Ranged Weapon Hit) may lower an enemy's Defense when you sucessfully hit an enemy witha bullet or arrow. Special Effects can be acquired from Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Soul Cores and Guardian Spirits and can be either fixed or selected from a random pool.
Reduced Defense (Ranged Weapon Hit) Effects
- _Each attack from a ranged weapon can place a status effect on an enemy; if successful, the enemy will take 10% more damage while the status effect lasts.

- Stats requirements of the Equipment must be met in order to acquire the Special Effects.
- While you can boost this effect up to over 100%, certain bosses may be resistant to the effect and wont fully receive the status effect, though it will still accumulate on them.
